Legally, women's liberation was accomplished more than 20 years ago in the Republic of China. The Constitution provides that all citizens are equal irrespective of sex, religion, race, class or party.
Mandatory women's membership is provided in parliamentary bodies. This is not, moreover, mere lip service. Women enjoy their rights under the law and exercise them to the full.
